AP Capital was born from a simple idea: give investors access to transparent, mortgage-backed
income while helping borrowers access financing that traditional lenders often can’t provide.
First investors join and the first mortgage is advanced
Welcomed the fund’s first external shareholders and funded the first mortgage, laying the foundation for AP Capital Mortgage Fund.

Leadership & Team
AP Capital is led by experienced operators who bring institutional insight, local market knowledge, and
long-standing relationships in lending and real estate. Together, they manage AP Capital Mortgage Fund
with a disciplined investment process and clear focus on risk management.
As co-founder and CEO, Ches brings over 25 years of experience in business building, capital raising, and mortgage fund management. He has led AP Capital since its inception in 2007 and served as President of the BC MIC Managers Association (2021–2023), helping shape industry governance across British Columbia.
Brad co-founded AP Capital in 2007 after years in mortgage origination and real estate investment. With deep expertise in lending strategy and deal structuring, he plays a lead role in sourcing and managing residential mortgage opportunities.
Terry brings nearly 20 years of experience in real estate operations, with a background that includes managing mortgage closings and running a leading conveyancing and property management firm. He joined AP Capital as a partner in 2021 after nearly a decade of close collaboration with the firm.
David Rose serves as Vice President, Business Development at AP Capital, where he plays a key role in fostering relationships and advancing growth initiatives. With a background as a professional golfer, he brings focus, discipline, and a results-driven approach that sets him apart.
Michael Chies is Vice President of Mortgage Lending and Head Underwriter at AP Capital. Since joining in 2019, he has led the Mortgage Department, bringing a background in prime residential lending and underwriting at a Schedule 1 Canadian bank. He studied Geography and Accounting at UBC.
